Saturday December 10, 7 PM “Family Christmas Celebration.” Shannon Deaton will be leading his choir and orchestra from Fairview Baptist Church in Statesville for an evening of celebrating Christmas. Come and join us as we proclaim the real reason for the season! This will be at our new location at 605 Carolina Ave.

Sunday December 11 — Grand Opening!!!! Come to our 10:45 AM morning worship for a special grand opening of New Heart Baptist Church. Bethany Baptist Church, along with many other guests are planning to be there! This too is at our new location at 605 Carolina Ave.

Bethany Baptist Church from Rougemont, NC came down Saturday to help do rennovations on the church building! They spent 2 days hanging sheet rock, painting, hauling stuff to the road, cleaning the church basement out, and some landscaping! The focus was on the parsonage as we plan to use it for our fellowship hall, nursery and pastor’s study. The work that they accomplished in that small amount of time was incredible!

Bethany has stood by us from day 1! We love and appreciate them very much! Click on the pictures page to see more pictures of this day!

Answered Prayer: A Church Building!

Our New Church Home!

We have been praying for months for this church building located at 605 Carolina Ave. We noticed it was abandoned back in the early Spring. We began to do reasearch to find out who owns it. We finally tracked them down in Cooperstown, PA. Through much prayer and asking, the Lord moved upon the owners to lease us this place for the next 6 months at an incredible rate! Many times we stopped with some of the kids we were taking home and prayed at this location back in the summer. During VBS, Mr. David had the kids go around taking turns specifically asking God for a church building.

God heard our prayers and gave us this building. May it be used for His glory to further His Kingdom on this earth!!!

May we pause to reflect what happened 10 years ago, and remember to pray for those who were directly affected by those events in the loss of loved ones.

Jehovah God is in full control of all things (Ephesians 1:11b, Psalm 115:3, Romans 8:28)!!!

Bible Fun Day/VBS 2011 Report

The Lord showed up at our VBS! 6 young people repented of their sins and ask the Lord Jesus to save them! We learned about wisdom from the book of Proverbs. Both foolishness and wisdom are calling out to all of us. The way of foolishness wants us to seek our own way, not think about sin and judgment, and wants us to be self sufficient and not listen to wise advice. Foolishness wants us to hang out with friends who do not love God or His ways. Foolishness is laziness, being mouthy, being arrogant, and never listens to advice. Foolishness is a path where a person thinks they are OK but it really leads to death and eternal destruction!

Wisdom calls out to us to love what God says is good and right and do it! The beginning of wisdom is to fear the LORD (Proverbs 1:7). Wisdom is thinking about the consequences of sin before going through with it. Wisdom seeks to live for the glory of God. Wisdom chooses to hate sin and love Jesus. Wisdom begins when a person humbles himself before God, repents of his sins and bows down to Jesus Christ as Lord!

6PM – 8:30 PM. For Kids K-12.
